Petrospection Pty Ltd provides operational and technical services to the bulk liquid storage industry, primarily petroleum and petrochemical, and interfaces with the marine and engineering industries.

Petrospection was formed by Alan Gluyas and Stephen Ford in Perth, Western Australia in 1993.

Petrospection is accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) as a metrology laboratory in the fields of tank calibration, tank settlement and roundness survey, and the hydrostatic testing of marine cargo hoses. The laboratory accreditation incorporates AS ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, which is compliant with the quality management requirements of ISO 9002:1994. Petrospection is audited biennially by NATA.

The company's original goals were to become a respected market leader in both the calibration of bulk fuel tanks throughout Australia and in the provision of specialised services relating to the importation and handling of bulk fuels, petroleum products and chemicals throughout Western Australia.

An indication of Petrospection's progress toward these goals, was the Company's achievement of the BP Western Australia Large Contractor Service to BP Award for 2006 and the HSSE Assessment Award for 2007 (with 100 percent score) for Recognition of Service Excellence. BP also awarded Petrospection third party HSSE accreditation in 2007.
